We are looking for persons with strong mathematical skills within modelling, programming and analysis to work in Scandinavian banks, insurance companies, pension funds, hedge funds or private asset managers. In particular, we experience strong demand for quantitative analysts with credit risk expertise. Applicants must have a master's degree (M.Sc.) in mathematics, statistics, programming, a relevant engineering education or another higher education with sufficient elements of mathematics. A university degree in finance is a desirable addition. Good knowledge of programming and database management is desirable, but not a prerequisite. The persons we are looking for should be analytical, thorough, creative and responsible team players. Solid command of English is necessary.
Specifically, we are looking for candidates with strong skills within areas such as:

· Credit risk modelling
· Credit Valuation Adjustment
· Stochastic analysis and processes
· Partial Differential Equations
· Probability models of risks
· Financial mathematics of security markets
· Competency in a programming language, preferably C++, MatLab, Java or VBA
· Statistics and probability theory
· Algorithms and quantitative analysis

The average gross salary for a quantitative analyst in the Scandinavian countries without prior working experience is around 6,000-8,000 US dollar per month. Favourable low-tax schemes apply for foreigners coming to Denmark or Sweden in order to work as quantitative analysts for up to a 5-year period. Selected candidates will be interviewed via video conference over the internet, and successful candidates will proceed to additional interviews and testing, before being invited to the final job interview with the perspective employer. Interested persons are strongly encouraged to send an email with their CV and contact information to this address: mjensen@careerasquant.com. NB: Please use the standardized CV-format found below and send this document as an attached Word-file (and not PDF) to mjensen@careerasquant.com.
